I am here with the most delicious and traditional Lahori Katlama Recipe for you all. 

The three-day Urs celebrations of Hazrat Ali Bin Usman Hajvery popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh has been began here.

Thousands even millions of Muslim devotees from Pakistan and across Pakistan participate in the annual celebrations at the shrine to pay their tribute to the saint. 

The Auqaf Department has all the authority to held the celebrations. This department allocates million of amount for holding Urs celebrations. 

During the huge celebrations Free Food (Langar) , Dodh and sharbat Sabil is provided to the visitors of the shrine during Urs days. 

Now lets go for the recipe..  First we see how to make Lahori Katlama Recipe With Plain Flour. 

Now i am sharing a very special street food recipe of Lahore. 

A Complete Recipe of Street Food Lahori Katlama With Plain Flour: 

                                                           

Data Ganj Bakhsh R.A Urse / Lahori Katlama / Deep Fried Desi Pizza Recipe

  Dough Ingredients:  

Plain Flour 1/2 kg

Melted Ghee 4 tbsp 

Salt 2 tbsp (As per taste) 

Water as you required 

Topping Ingredients: 

Chickpea Flour 1 Cup

Coriander Seeds 4 tbsp

Red Chilli Powder 2 tbs 

Red Chilli Flakes 2tbsp 

Red Food Color 2 tsp 

Pomegranate Seeds 3 tbsp 

Moong / Maash Dal 2 Cups (Soaked for 2 Hours)

                                                                         Direction: 

Step 1: 

Take a bowl and add plain flour 2 cups and then add salt and mix it well and then add melted ghee and mix it well and then knead it with as you required water. Knead simple regular dough. After that rest it for 15-20 minutes. 

Step 2: 

Now take a bowl and add chickpea flour, Red Chilli Powder, Red Food Color, Red Chilli, Red Chilli Flakes and mix it well with as you required water. Batter should be normal. It should not too thick and not too thin. It should be like a proper Paste. 

 Step 3: 

Now lets go for making katlama. First, Take a large size karahi or if not having a large karahi you can take a simple fry pan.Then add oil for deep fry and preheat it. 

Now make balls of the dough depend on your pan/karahi size. Rolling it and then spread it with the batter and then sprinkle Moong Dal / Maash Dal, Pomegranate Seeds, Coriander Seeds as you required. 

And press it and set it well. Now fry it from both sides until its color is changed.

Delicious and Yummy Lahori Katlama is Ready. Enjoy it. 😍
